Chicken Pepper fry with gravy

As promised here is my post..
Recipe of chicken pepper fry with gravy.
I am in love with this tastes so yummmm n its easy to make...


1- 1 whole chicken cut in pieces

Spices for the pepper fry masala

2- 2 tbspn black pepper corn
3- 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
4- 4 dried red chillies (you can add it according to your taste)
5- 1 tspn coriander seeds

6- 1tspn turmeric powder
7- Salt according to taste
8- 3 n 1/2 tbspn oil
9- 5 or 6 curry leaves
10-  2 medium sized onion finely sliced
11- 3 tomatoes
12- 4 or 5 green chillies
14- 1/3 cup coconut milk
15- Cilantro leaves for garnishing


1-Dry roast all the spices on low flame until    they start giving aroma.switch of the    flame and let it cool down.
2-Once it cools down grind it dry in a    grinder and make a fine powder.
3-Wash the chicken pieces and in a big  bowl marinate it with 1 tspn turmeric and 1 tspn salt and 1 tbspn of pepper fry masala that u prepared earlier.
4-Let it marinate for an hour.

5-Take a big pan add in oil.When the oil heats up a bit add in curry leaves to it.

6-Now add in onion slices and let it fry till it turns golden in color
7 -Till then you can blend the tomatoes into puree.
8-Once the onion turn golden in color add  in tomatoe puree and green chillies to it.
9-Now add marinated chicken to the pan.Sprinkle 1 tbspn of pepper fry masala and salt according to taste.
10-Add coconut milk.
11-Cover the pan and cook it on low flame for 15 minutes.
12-Switch off the gas sprinkle some cilantro  leaves and serve it hot with chapati and rice.
