Fish curry

Fish curry is one of the most loved dish that is eaten in my parent's house.My father is so much fond of fish curry that he can eat it on every alternate day.I also love fish curry.Its one of the most yummy and healthy dish.
There are many ways of making fish.I am sharing here the way in which my mother makes it.Only addition that i did is i have added coconut milk.

INGREDIENTS

1-SALMON skinless 3lbs.
2-Turmeric powder 2 tspn
3-Salt according to taste
4-5 garlic buds
6-1 large onion
7-1 teaspoon fennel seeds
8-1 teaspoon cumin seeds
9-1 teaspoon black pepper
10-2 large tomatoes
11-4 green chillies
12-1/4 cup coconut milk
13-2 tbspn fo frying fish and 3 tbspn for cooking
14-Fenugreek seeds
15-Red chilli powder  1 tspn

METHOD

1-Cut the fish in small pieces wash it and marinate it with 1 tspn turmeric powder and 1 tspn salt.Keep it for 1 hour.

2-In a mixer grinder jar take onion,garlic,black pepper,fennel and cumin and grind it finely.

3-After 1 hour fry the fish pieces in oil sothat they get cooked from inside.

4-Grind tomatoes also in puree.
5-When your fish are fried.
Take oil in a pot add fenugreek seeds to it.Once the seeds become slight red add the prepared onion and spices paste to it.


6-Fry this paste for 2 minutes then add red chilli powder and 1 tspn turmeric powder.Fry it for another 1 minute.


7-Now add in tomato puree and green chillies to it.
8-Let it cook for 2 minutes.

8-After 2 minutes add coconut milk and let it come to a boil.

9-Now add fish pieces to it.Add salt according to taste.
10.Let it cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
11-After 10 minutes switch off the flame.
12-Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve hot with rice and chapati.
