Going through mental or physical stress is now very common because of our lifestyle...the amount of pressure we have to fulfill each and every desire of ours..to achieve something materialistic has made our life more robotic and we have become like a human machines who work..work and work all the time .If we are physically not working we have wired our brain in such manner that its working all the time.In such an exerting environment its so much necessary for us to relive and rewire our brain to boost its productivity...for healthy mind and healthy body.


A research conducted by a group of scientist shows how going outside and connecting with nature is good for our health and brain.Exploring the nature around us..connecting with the creations of god can help boost our mental and physical health,reduce the level of stress and make us more thankful to god for making us a part of his gorgeous creation.

DEALING WITH THE PICKY EATER KID

My child since the time he started eating solids is a picky eater.
He only ate few selected foods when he was a baby and even now he is 4 years old his picky eating habit is not gone.
When he was small he never took formula,we tried almost all the brands of formula out there in the market but he never took one.When we started him on solid food and whole milk,he never drank whole milk and in solid food also he liked only few foods.
Its very stressful being a parent seeing your child not eating proper healthy and nutritious food.We constantly go under stress about child's health.I was also one amongst these parent's until and unless i found few ways to deal with it.I am going to share those tips here and i hope it may help someone out there.
First of all lets see what picky eaters are..
   Picky eaters are very selective about their food,they are not ready to even try a new food.They dont like the smell and look of new food.One more thing that i would like to write here is that picky eater kids dont do this because of stubbornness its just that they are not ready to accept new food.
I know its tough to deal with picky eaters i also get frustrated but frustration is not gonna help.

These are the tips which i am writing here.

1-Never ever force feed your child.Its not gonna help.They may eat it under pressure but will never like it.
2-Respect their appetite.If they are not hungry dont force them.
3-Always stick to same meal routine. Serve them breakfast,lunch,snack and dinner at same time everyday.
4-When introducing new foods be patient.They may not like it in the beginning but once they get used to it they will develop a taste and liking for it.
5-Make it fun by being more creative in presentation of food.
6-Involve them in the process of cooking and baking,this will give them interest in it.
7-Set a good example in front of them
8-Hide healthy food items in there favourite food.
    This last option works best for me..My son never drinks milk so i feed him one ice cream everyday,He likes rice alot so i make vegetables pulao and mash all the veggie when feeding him,this way he eats veggies too.He likes chicken so i make spinach chicken by adding pureed spinach to the gravy.I put all the veggies like beetroot,carrot,bottleguard,brocolli etc in dal and cook it and then feed him with rice or chapati.
I have made almond powder which i fill in his chapati or paratha or simply put on his rice and feed him.
This way he is getting all the nutrients and slowly he will develop taste and liking for it too.
I try and keep him away from processed and junk food.

  So dealing with picky eaters is not easy,but "PARENTAL ANXIETY" is not gonna help.Keep calm and be patient.
